My Seventy-seventh Entry. Mood: JAY CHOU

It was a very warm night. Its burning both externally and internally within our body. We were excited to see Jay in real person. Five of us, Kailing (Zhiguan's cousin), Zhiyang (Zhiguan's brother), Harrison, Zhiguan and me happily walked into the stadium. We saw the book which Jay published, Grandeur de D Major, selling at $23 while Zhiguan and Harrison went to toilet. When they came back to the lobby, they bought us some drinks and entered the theatre.

We waited till around 8.40pm+ then suddenly the lights went out. The audiences screamed anxiously. The music came out and it was "Yi Fu Zhi Ming". We awaited for the tall red curtains to be pulled down so that we can see Jay. Finally, when it was the part where he started to sing, a big bang sound stopped our heart for a second and our eyes widened at the top when the curtain came dropping down. And the crowd went wild! He stood infront of a big red cross on a platform elevated high above the stage. As the music goes on, the platform lowered very slowly. When it reaches the ground, he walked out of the platform away from the cross, and the crowd went wild again.

It was one of the best concerts which I ever watched, though I've only seen 3 concerts before. But from last night's concert, I can clearly see that Jay has really put in lots of efforts for his concerts.

• He danced hip-hop, which included some impressive movements, though it was for a short while only. I was like: Wow, Jay actually danced that!
• He improvised "Ni Ting De Dao" abit, and the melody really caught my heart, tears filled my eyes. He has really touched me by that song. It was so nice that I wonder why didn't he use that melody in his album...
• Then he also improvised "Zui Hou De Zhan Yi" to a very romantic and soothing one. There were two guitars for accompaniment. This version has obviously accepted eagerly by all the audiences and we all agreed that its indeed a wonderfull version.
• He also sang Zhang Zheng Yue's "Ai Wo Bie Zou". This is a great song and we think that he has sung it brilliantly too. He also claimed that when he was a student, he tried to learn this song hard and so he might sing it to the girl he likes. Today, he present this song to us. :)
• He played flute for a Jacky Chang's old song. Don't remember what the song is called but he actually used flute to play it for more than half of the song. He did not play very well, as the notes weren't on the right pitch and seems like he can't reach the high note. But well, the newspaper said that he learnt flute for about a week for the sake of that song. So, we just give him a support lor.
• I personally thinks that this is the most impressive part of the concert. Jay invited a guy called Yu Hao from Nan Quan Ma Ma to play the pink piano. He started off with Chopin's "Fantaisie Impromptu". This is a song normally played by Diploma holders in piano. He played till a part where he paused, and Jay took over his place with his hands slowly placing over Yu Hao's hand. Yu Hao stood up and Jay sat down, and continued playing the piece. Without notice, they had changed the song to this and that, and they, still taking turns to play the piano, without any hiccups of the songs. The songs they played were fast, and even faster than the original speed of the song. They played Turkish March, Bumble Bee, and many more. The turns they played were so clean that it seems like only one person is playing the piano. Lastly, both of them sat down and played duets together, and end the piece in a climax. The audiences applauded and cheered to craziness. We were all stunned and impressed by their way of playing.

Overall, I think Jay's concert is a great success and I rate this concert 9/10. That one mark deducted is due to the flute thingy. What a waste.

Anyway, today stayed at home and took a look at the percussion song, set up the christmas tree, and chatting with friends in MSN. Nothing much lor. Haha.
